Ui is broken will not let me click on things #1284

Bug Description

I cannot click on things in the ui and the scrolling on the raster brush selector does nothing until i go back to the colour tab and back to the raster tab then the scroll bar position in the raster tab will update

this seems to effect both 1.3.1 and the 1.4 beta as i have tried the 1.4 beta to see if it would fix the issue

i have tried using opentoonz as well and its ui works fine

i have attached a video which should show the issue

https://github.com/tahoma2d/tahoma2d/assets/17174184/0098eada-0548-400f-8588-d410a0219d72

Im hoping to get this issue solved as soon as possible because i prefer tahoma

i have tried updating graphics drivers, disabling antivirus and running as administrator and unfortunately none of those work

I do own a "Gaomon PD1161" drawing tablet but have not yet used it with the program

Steps to reproduce

Open the program and try clicking around in the ui

Is the drawing tablet connected when you try to use T2D?

Does this only happen when you are off of the color tab of the style editor? Does having any levels make a difference? Or can you not even add a level right now?

artisteacher commented 11 months ago

Is this a problem with both the installed and portable releases?

manongjohn commented 11 months ago

Not sure what could be causing this. As you have an NVidia card, try adding a 3D profile, set to High Performance in your NVidia Control Panel and see if it helps any.

If you mean setting it to use my nvidia gou instead if the intergrated Intel graphics then I have already done that and it hasn't done anything to fix the problem

Is this a problem with both the installed and portable releases?

I'm going to need further clarification on this

Do you mean both version 1.4 beta and 1.3.1 or do you just mean the installer version and portable version of the 1.4 beta

Is the drawing tablet connected when you try to use T2D?

I have not yet used tahoma with my drawing tablet connected as of yet as I only recently installed tahoma

I still have to check this when I have the time to check it

Seems like a longshot...try just the Intel video card instead of the Nvidia card?

I'm at a loss as to why it would be behaving like this.

I can add levels but it does not make a difference and this behavior still persists

Does this only happen when you are off of the color tab of the style editor?

Seems like this is the case, it appears to me like clicks are going through in the background but the GUI only updates when i am on the colour tab in the style editor but I'9m not sure if its a problem with the GUI not updating or its some other issue making it appear like that

Is the drawing tablet connected when you try to use T2D?

I have now tested tahoma with the drawing tablet connected and the problem does go away and tahoma appears to be functioning normally when i duplicate my screen onto the drawing tablet and launch tahoma when my screen is duplicated

but the problem still persists if i extend my screen onto the drawing tablet instead and launch tahoma with the screen extended and switching to duplicate if i have launched tahoma from a extended screen doesn't fix it

Seems like a longshot...try just the Intel video card instead of the Nvidia card?

Tried that but it doesn't work

Are you using multiple monitors, by any chance?

When the tablet is not being used, is it physically disconnected from the computer?

When using multiple monitors (including display tablets), if they have different resolutions, that has been known to cause various issues. Changing between monitors - or mirroring modes can have issues too, since the T2D window doesn't recalculate properly after those sorts of changes. So open T2D after making mirroring/monitor changes.

On radeon works but better to fix it for NVIDIA
