[FR] Dark mode #116

Please describe the problem / need you are trying to solve. The taiga frontend feels like chewing on ice, but for your eyes at night.

Describe the feature or the improvement you'd like and what are you trying to achieve. Dark mode support for the frontend, either by CSS queries or as a profile setting.

Edit: I know of the integrated themes function, though it might be better from a UX and general usability perspective to include at least a basic dark theme that might be used via the setting or via queries as well. Similar to how many android apps have an auto-dark mode that is depending on the host system (would in taiga's case be the queries) and an option to force either light or dark in addition to 'go by system'.

Describe alternatives you've considered A simple CSS injection via a browser extension when working with taiga.

Any volunteer for a patch or a Taiga plugin for dark mode ? Both me and the Ubertus.org team would be happy, as volunteer, to contribute testing and documentation, if needed.

Meanwhile, as a temporary workaround for dark mode, I suggest using this free open source add-on for your browser at https://darkreader.org
