ChatApp aims to revolutionize the realm of online communication by introducing a secure, transparent, and decentralized chatting application built on Taiko. The application will leverage the advantages of blockchain technology to provide end-to-end encrypted messaging services and offer a unique feature, the Token-Gated Passcard, for fan clubs and restricted communities.

Project Plan
As the blockchain chatting app is still in the early stage, we have set the following goals to be achieved two months after going live:
1- We expect to have 10,000 daily active users logging into the app.
2- We aim to attract over 100 creators to use this product for pushing messages to users.
Since this product will utilize our existing user base and will be promoted through our pre-existing communities, we have formulated the following plans:
1- After completing the MVP, we will start alpha testing on the testnet, using the domain of the Taiko testnet for chatting, and rewarding participants on the testnet.
2- We will bring in our Star users and KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) to test the token-gated passcard. The system will come with a basic trading feature.
As we are offering both an omnichain domain service and a chatting app and given the high stability of our cross-chain domain at present and an existing user base of 300,000 users, we expect to have a more enduring development on Taiko.
Project Impact
On-chain chatting and creator-based social apps will bring a lot of vitality to the entire ecosystem. Additionally, since domain services are essential in social interactions, our omnichain domain system will bring even more convenience to the entire social ecosystem.
Current blockchain chatting apps generally meet the needs of wallet-to-wallet messaging. We aim to provide creators with more convenient on-chain social and messaging services, making better use of anti-censorship features to allow creators to serve their fans.

We built the Star Protocol which is the top trending omnichain naming services on Layer2. Currently, Star Name Service has launched 6 different domain extensions (.zk, .op, .linea, .base, .scroll, .iloveyou) on L1/L2 Mainnet and has huge traction by achieving over 330K registrations.
Distinguished from ENS, our omnichain name service enables users to employ one specific domain (eg, star.zk) across L1/L2, further enhancing interoperability. Currently, around 230,000 zkSync users have registered more than 283,000 domains as NFTs on zkSync up to Aug 4th, 2023.
