I'm considering using Pages CMS for our project. Here's why:
Advantages:
- Provides a simple and straightforward way to manage the site's markdown content
- Uses git credentials for authentication
Implementation Notes:
- Will require setting up templating
- Some refactoring of the codebase will be necessary for optimal performance
Current Status:
- Brief initial testing shows it works fairly well
Potential Concerns:
- Uncertain how it will handle merge errors or other git-related issues
- We can address these as they arise
Future Considerations:
- Need additional testing for image format support
- Long-term goal: Start supporting AVIF format if possible
