For the user, we will need this simple format

  1. Welcome
  2. Problem Space (Myopia in schools)
  3. Instructions (What going to go down in the simulation)
  4. Experiment with Perfect Vision
  5. Experiment with Bad Vision
  6. Comparison of two experiments (scores)
  7. More stats correlating with results

Some quick notes

  1. Welcome can be simple, a simple title screen for the app
  2. This problem space should not give the user too much knowledge of the experiment hypothesis (lower vision will result in lower attention score). Rather, it can present the problem space of children not having access to prescription eye glasses at an early age, not WHY they are necessary, but just how much they are absent.
  3. Simple graphic with a block and a raygraph doing what the person would do
  4. Voice over of reading with sounds of children in the background. Should be simple, the complex part will be doing the raycast game, but this can be used twice, so well worth it. Also, we should make the user aware that they are wearing glasses, so we should have a scene where they are putting on glasses and a difference in the scene occurs
  5. So for bad vision, we could get interesting. We could do both eyes have different severities of blurriness, but this is a nice to have, not truly something essential (and also after some quick research, it seems like something that is quite complex to pull off). For now, just same scenario, with some blur
  6. Here, we can do a simple canvas text to show the score, side by side. A cute icon to show that one was with glasses.
  7. Here, explicitly say the consequences of children not having glasses, and the studies showing increased productivity from glasses. And that all, is our story.

The non-profit I am focusing on is Vision To Learn. With their studies, we find some stats we can use: For scene 2:

For scene 7:

All stats come from Vision to Learn Problem Page and
