How about convex defined simply as a fix point? #4

Convex can be an assumption especially in Alpha, without much underineing proofs.

In the industrial world convex methods have been used without much evidence that the obj function is indeed a convex. In effect, brutal proving of being "convex" is meaningless in reality.
