Fireface 802 : higher roundtrip latency than expected #56

Hi, so far the ff802 works very reliably with this driver, but while setting up latency compensation in jack I obtained surprisingly high numbers (about 4ms of hardware latency where I'd expect at most 2ms total, in the past I had these kind of results with ffado + saffire pro40). I could confirm the numbers are accurate because I now get perfectly aligned materials in ardour, but I wonder if some of this latency is due to the driver and not the converters. What do you think ? Is there room for improvement/tweaking there ?

I've been getting same results with usb in cc mode, so I guess that's just how the 802 works.
