It does work on Intel macs running Snow Leopard. Lion users need to make a 
simple edit to the dls_synth.rb file and it works as well. Just add another 
dlload line after the line that loads the AudioToolbox framework. Copy the 
AudioToolbox line and substitute AudioUnit for AudioToolbox wherever it occurs 
and everything should be OK.
