Changing default ringtone and notification sounds won't stick #229

Running TORO(Verizon) Galaxy Nexus

ROM Version 4.0 and higher
1. ROM version 4.5

What is the build date listed in the phone settings
1. Wed Jan 30 11:41:21 MST 2013

What Build number is listed in about phone.
1. JOP40D-4.2.1

What Kernel are you using when this issue appears
1. 3.0.31-Sourcerizer

What Gapps did you install(If obscure please tell us where you got them)
1. gapps-lb-20121212-signed.zip

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load MP3 ringtone into standard Ringtone directory.
2. Load MP3 notification into standard Notification directory.
3. Go to Setting/Sound and set default ringtone to ringtone referenced in #1.
4. Set default notification to notification referenced in #2.
5. Use phone as normal. The last instance took a day (and maybe a reboot) but
the default ringtone and notifications change.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect when receiving a phone call from someone without a ringtone assigned
the ringtone I loaded in #1 would play. Instead, looking at the settings, the
ringtone is "unknown".

Same thing with the notification. I expect it to play the one I set yet it
reverts to the Helium ALARM, not notification.

Please provide any additional information below.
I suspect this has something to do with the fact I'm using an MP3 instead of an
ogg file. I haven't been able to test this yet no others are complaining about
it.

Did you install after wiping data/cache/davlik cache or dirty flash(no
wipe) This must be answered honestly for us to help.
1. I did a clean flash after wiping data, system, davlik and cache. This was
documented in my trials and tribulations in AndroidForums in the GNex Verizon -
All Things Root section.

I've attached a screenshot of the issue after it happened again.

I also have a workaround. I created a Tasker task which fires every hour and
sets the default ringtone and notification sound to my desired files.

i cant reproduce this when i change ti it changs and it sticks after a reboot
this must be being caused by an app you have installed is my only guess.

I'm having the same issue. So invalid? I haven't loaded any apps and just wiped
and reloaded.
