Lakes (i.e. floating regions surrounded by ocean) should not get melt rates in SIMPEL, they are currently treated as Beckmann-Goosse boxes.
I think that, one could use that lakes cannot be reached from the GL and the IF (DistGL == 0 && DistIF==0) to exclude them.
