It seems that you did an attempt to get the data from the Timex Global Trainer, but did not finish? I'm thinking about creating a basic download tool in python (because I am most familiar with that language) so I no longer have to use my MacBook with broken display to upload my data. Why did you stop the development, were there any showstoppers?

No showstoppers, just got tired of reverse engineering. In the data directory, the pwx file has some of my notes written for how the samples are encoded, if you can make any sense of them. I never managed to decode more than the samples themselves--the header beforehand is a mystery, along with the commands beforehand you'll have to figure out to figure out how many workouts are on the watch.

I tried emailing Timex to ask for some hints but they never responded after tech support forwarded me to the engineering department.

Hmm, interesting. It seems tedious work to find what is where in the samples and seemingly no support from Timex to be expected. For me it would likely be easier to just sell the GlobalTrainer on the dutch eBay and buy a more Linux friendly watch. I'll think about it, thanks!
