Hi. uvloop is a performance optimization I believe. I don't think it's required for the app to run. Just remove it from the requirements.txt and you should be fine.
BTW, I do agree it's annoying that it isn't supported on Windows, but that said, it's also not a big deal. If you really want to run it, you could use LSW (Linux Subsystem for Windows).
I was able to run it by removing uvloop. Thank you. I was quite disappointed (and stressed) because I told my supervisor that I could get fastapi talking to all the important things this week.

uvloop does not run on Windows. I paid for the course but can't really use it. :-(
