This is certainly weird... would you be able to give me some details about your setup? (eg. emuMMC, CFW and if you have multiple Switches)

i have one switch. but i did recently reset my console. Im running atmosphere (kosmos) on sysnand.

Cool, thanks. I'm guessing when it's reset it must move that play data to another file on the switch/backs it up to your account, however I have no idea so I'll have to look into it.
