I think that having more than two panels could help. For instance, I often want to check the pngs, the html source and the html rendering at the same time. I have to juggle between panes for that.
I'd also like to have the possibility to edit both the html and text version at the same time, to fix errors or formatting in both versions. Ideally these could also be synchronized together, at least on the page being worked on. Seeing the pngs at the same time could be useful too.
