Thumb keys compatible with MX sockets/switches? #4

Probably a dumb question (all the pictures show choc), but has been asked before so I figured I'd get the definitive answer :)

Does one have to use choc switches for the thumb keys, or could MX (direct solder or sockets) work as well?

Bottom row hole positions and sizes are not compatible with cherry-style switches. If you're going to order the pcbs custom-made, you could tweak the schematic. It wouldn't be very comfortable, though, as all keys would end up being the same height.
