Black screen occasionally when opening RAW files

First of all, if you have any Haxies, InputManagers, SIMBL plugins or
similar operating system hacks installed, please remove them first, restart
the program, and make sure the bug is reproducible without them.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. opening RAW (Canon CR2) files results in a black screen

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
latest 2.2 on Lion 10.7.2

You might want to try browsing through ~50 .CR2 files at once, I've had it 
happen to me a number of times now when browsing through a folder full of CR2 
files.

Some other notes:
1. Once Xee shows a black screen for a .CR2 file if you navigate to the next 
image and back to the problem image it is still black.
2. Quitting Xee and then opening the problem file directly in Xee displays the 
image correctly.
