Recent Topics #18

I think we should remove the CoC and Simple Questions posts from be included in "Recent Topics". Also I think Recent Topics should be limited to one page worth, or at the very least a lower set number.

Yeah, you are probably correct regarding the "super-sticky" topics on the Recent Topics page, I can certainly do that.

As for limiting it to one page, there is really no downside of paginating it, since WP_Query only gets one page worth of topics from the database anyways. Being able to optionally display additional pages of recent topics is pretty much a free lunch.

I wasn't suggesting it based on performance considerations. Left as is it isn't necessarily "Recent Topics", it is actually more like topics sorted by date. Going some pages and you'll see posts from 1 month ago, 2 months, 3, etc. On page 235 you're seeing posts from 11 months ago.

I guess a better suggestion would be to cut if off at some point. Perhaps define "recent" as a certain time period.

I think this is solved. I got rid of all the sticky notices on the recent topics page, and limited it to only topics that have been active in the past month.
