Hangs when looking at backslash-split strings

When pressing enter after the final quote, emacs hangs.

What are version of Emacs it is happening?

On my Emacs all right. GNU Emacs 23.4.1 (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.24.10) of 2012-09-09 on trouble, modified by Debian
