Hey Megha!

Nice work out there with your website. Totally, it takes a lot of courage to publish the first version.

I reviewed your website and I think there are few things which can further be improved

I think you have done a great job with your portfolio and I think with time you will even evolve too. These are the points that I thought can be improved. Rest assured, if you feel like you need to discuss related to look and feel of the project or you need any help related to it then please feel free to reach me out on Twitter. (@reeversedev).

Hello @reeversedev

This is a really detailed feedback. I really appreciate the effort you have put in here.

Have a few doubts to ask you.

  1. As you mentioned :

The opening section where you have mentioned your name like, "Hi, I am Megha Pathak" is too big for a computer screen. I understand that you might have done it to utilize the screen space but I guess design trends have evolved and so should we. Maybe, you can modify with some brief info about you there and your photograph and make it much crispier instead of making as a big section.

I found your suggestion good and thought of inserting a doodle there and a crisp introduction on half of the page. But won't it look similar to the about section? On the basis of all the portfolio websites you have seen out there can you suggest me how I can differentiate the about and home page.

  1. Secondly, you mentioned

There's a bug in experience section and it's kinda sin which we all developers actually perform at least once while building their websites. By design sense, it should ideally use the whole screen, you should not waste the white space. I tried to play with Bootstrap classes that you have used and I figured out that you have done some mistake. (Hint: That offset can be managed.)

If you are talking about the white space I have left on the right hand side than it is for the companies and brand I have worked with so far. If you wanted to mention something else, it would be really helpful to describe a little bit more about it for some clarity.

I have full faith in you that you'll publish your projects and blogs real soon but for the time being, I think you should rather hide those sections if no data is there otherwise it gives an impression of something being incomplete.

I have some already made projects and almost finishing up with my first project under the job challenge. So going to add them all in a day or two.

Would love to get my first project under this challenge to be reviewed by you :)

I missed writing response to this feedback due to the time being invested in the project. I thank you again for the feedback. Looking forward to know the answers to the question I have put in this comment.

  1. We can get rid of the About Me section. It's not necessary to always have it as a separate entity. We just wanna make sure that if a user arrives at our website then he/she is able to know about us. So, no problems in adding a brief note and a decent photograph of yourself in the first section.

  2. Right now, the technologies section is coming in two lines. The right section is empty and we should utilize that whitespace. You are already doing that but offset is having some problem.

Let me know if you have any other doubts. Would love to take it forward and will try to help you as much as possible.

Also, in case, I am unable to reply here or forget about it. You can ping me on twitter. My twitter handle is @reeversedev and I'll come here.

Github notifications perform in a weird manner for me.
