Under the Explanation section, the second bullet point reads "Many accession numbers can be translated into a machine readable format as long as they do not contain characters which impede machine readability, e.g. “/”" — I'm not sure the example is helpful here, since "/" is not necessarily a problem for machine readability, depending on how the identifiers are parsed and used. I can't think of what to suggest instead though! Perhaps something like "so long as they can be transformed into a format that works with the context they're used in, such as substituting characters not valid as part of a URL."
