"I calculate %SLP as %CPU - %LAT"

maybe I'm reading that wrong but it looks like you calculate %SLP as "100-(cpu+lat)" which is how I would expect it.

You’re right, it was late when I wrote the blog entry & wrote an incorrect explanation. Will update the post
