convert current css to Tailwindcss #13

[x] make new branch for this
[x] install tailwind
[ ] convert each css rule to tailwind bit by bit
[ ] verify that it is like the main branch which uses vanilla css

decided not to use tailwindcss to solve issue of mysterious cascading effects.

figured it's best to continue pushing through with vanilla css so i can learn as much about the fundamentals as possible and understand its quirks when used with React
