In my testing with your code snippet, google maps seems to want to force itself to go full screen, and when it cannot do that because there is a sticky header and sticky footer on the page, it just disappears. Is there any way to make it play well with position:relative, and make it fall in line with other elements on the screen? I am using bootstrap.css also.

I take back everything I said previously. Seems that the default google maps is full screen. I figured out how to implement 60v height. Now it works great. Just a few questions to address: how can I change the markers from a droplet shape to a square shape? How can I remove markers after I add them?
