Setup: In orbit construct a KAS container with some grabbable parts in it; or any craft with a grabbable part attached; EVA, grab a part from surface or container. If you grabbed an attached part, close its right-click part menu.
Bug: Now it is not possible to get to the part's menu. The part is there on the kerbal's back; but any right-click brings up the kerbal's menu (with items such as 'EVA Report'). Therefore the part cannot be ordinarily dropped or attached.
Workaround: Grab a second part, which causes the first to drop. Leave the right-click menu open for the second part! Attach it somewhere. The first part is (with luck) drifting nearby; grab it and again, do not close its menu. Now go do your EVA maneuvers and attach the first part where you want it. -- Obviously, if you are aware of this conflict, you can make life simpler: Do not close any grabbed part's part menu until it's off your back. However this cannot apply to a part taken out of a container.
