Crashing after closing full-screened help window #6

Open tankh99 opened 6 months ago

tankh99 commented 6 months ago

There is a bug that crashes the application right now

How to reproduce

  1. Full-screen the application.
  2. Type in help
  3. Wait for a few seconds.
  4. Then close the help window that just appeared
  5. Now, you should notice that the application no longer responds

I am no longer able to use or interact with the application, requiring me to force quit the application

Screenshots I have the following screenshots after triggering this bug Screenshot 2024-04-19 at 4.43.46 PM.png

Team's Response

Thanks for pointing out!

However, I am unable to reproduce this issue on my MacBook Pro.

Below is a screen recording in an attempt to reproduce the issue (hopefully the GIF can be viewed). The app does not freeze and still works perfectly fine!

Hope this clarifies your concern!

You can refer to the attached links below for more video recordings. The second one has a timer to prove that the footage has not been tampered with in any way.

    Issue response

Team chose [response.CannotReproduce]

Reason for disagreement: Indeed, this is a bug that is sometimes reproducible, and sometimes not. I have found some success in replicating the bug with the following steps

  1. Launch the app in full screen
  2. mailtg g/TUT04
  3. Close window
  4. mailtg g/TUT04
  5. Close window

After the 2nd close attempt, it crashes, at least for me. I have attached some videos below. I couldn't do so before because I didn't have time, I apologise.

Also, due to the scarcity of this issue, I'd like to downgrade this issue to s.Low. if you are able to reproduce this issue and accept it
