History of the computer
electricity and physics pre-1945 semiconductor and integrated circuits 1950 (bell labs) personal computers and operating systems and programming languages 1990 the web and the internet (gaming) 2000 the mobile phone (gaming) 2010 what do we have in 2020? pandemic seems like the next things in 2030? is AI?
actually in the 80s because of the big boom of programming languages. there was a bunch of scentists which wants to program an AI system.
The sad parts is that academic researchers can't win the fight with entrepreneurs. Netscape is the one invent the web, but they don't make the amount of money they deserve. Google, Facebook, Netflix, Amazon are the biggest winner of the web and definitely good users of the web. We should believe that there is a gap between interface and implementation. A good users always won, a good impementor or inventor is just a good user of other things. (You can say that the people who invent the web are good users of parsers? layout? typesetting? rendering? networking?) They (the inventors of the web) don't invent these things.But they find a good way to fit these kind of beautiful things together.
The same theory applys to me also for ai, may be I don't have thousands of nvidia graphics cards, but the good users always win. Be a good user.

I doubt that we will have another browsers war in any time soon (let's say ten years), because microsoft wanted it in 2014, and ms give it up in 2019. Another reason is that the w3c(render engine) and tc39(js engine) now are more powerful that it was in early 2000s or late 90s (they both founded in late 90s), it's no easier to challege the specs, or if you do a brand new browsers in 2024.
if you fully commited into the spec, you find it hard to write the code. or if you don't fully commited to it, users may say your system is bad.(maybe not). It's hard to do.
