2.1.3 doesn't compile under Linux #19

The current version 2.1.3 doesn't compile under (my) Linux. I had to apply
the attached patches which, for me, seem to be harmless and just syntactic
sugar.

Thank you very much -- patches are always nice.

Your patch is exactly right and I'm assuming you are using a 64-bit Linux?  I 
tested
on 32-bit Fedora 10.  I really need to get a Win64 and Linux 64-bit box...

Anyway, I've checked in and tagged 2.1.4.  I'm going to upload a source 
distribution,
but not Windows installers since it doesn't affect the 32-bit builds.

If you are pulling from github, it will updated and tagged 2.1.4.
