Google Update Daemon is Crashing my Mac OS 10.5.6

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Logging in.
2. The daemon automatically opens at start up a continues to open the 
crash during use on a 30second loop. 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It does not display anything except the loading mouse wheel. The way I 
found out that it was the Update Daemon by opening the 'System Logger' 
Utility. 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Please provide any additional information below.
The Update Daemon seems to be opening automatically and then crashing and 
then opening again. Also, I searched the computer but I cannot 
find 'Google Updater' anywhere, though I think I used to have it installed 
due to Google Earth. I do have Goodle Earth and Google Sketch Up, though I 
do not know the versions. I can no longer login to my computer and 
starting up can take up to 10 minutes. My computer is a MacBook with 80Gb 
memory, I have about 43Gb free, and it is only about 5months old.
