Now that shields.io has had a deployment recently, the official (built-in) LGTM badge can be used in the README, along with including the logo.

(this is the image URL that would be produced by our new badge markup generator that will be deployed in the next couple of days).

Notes to self:

The LGTM analysis failure was due to an issue with fetching nested submodules. Reported it here.
The Travis build failure was due to sonar-scanner being unavailable when invoked on macOS, resulting in the test program not actually being built. (The plugin documentation does say that only internal pull requests are scanned.) Following up in https://github.com/tanzislam/cryptopals/issues/18.
