This is linked with https://github.com/taptapship/wiredep/issues/52 Code only looks for the *.min.js or -min.js files, if not found it will add the file specified in main configuration

This should really happen in your build system, not here. Like in my build, I do this after wiredep and kind of part of the useref task.

+1 this is related to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/16018142/angular-currency-filter-symbol-%C3%82-added, Uglify screws up Angular and it starts adding a weird symbol
