Description

This adds in a glossary for the Dan layer

I think the language has matured since this PR was first opened. For instance, a "shard" is understood to be a subset of the entire shard space; and mapped 1:1 to committees.

I'd suggest a re-look at this doc before merging; or if it's too stale, we should close it.
