Full screen or pop-up notifications #2058

Hi All,

Thanks for creating such an amazing app!

Currently, the app only displays Notification style alarms.

Can you please also implement Alarm style alarms so that it will display it in full-screen mode with options to Complete or Snooze?

One request I've been getting, almost since day one, is to have custom pop-over reminders that will interrupt whatever you're doing and block the screen until you interact with them

Why?

Because: 1) Some people's minds and ways of operating are such that they need this type of visual nag above and beyond what can be provided by the built-in Android notification system 2) Some tasks are of sufficient importance/urgency that users might want to be reminded of them in the most intrusive and nagging way possible.

In my opinion, this capability would be awesome. TickTick does it by using the "Display over other apps" permission, which is perfectly appropriate for this use case assuming the user opts into it. It also asks to disable battery optimizations, which may be required for technical reasons. Works on Android 14.

I have seen a couple of other task apps in the past that do it as well.
