Fopen issue #11

I downloaded the wordpress plug-in and as I see it uses the fopen function.

The thing is that fopen is disabled from the server my host is using.
Contacting the company, did not change anything..company rules:/

While trying to find a sollution, I read that the cURL function can be used
instead of fopen.

Is it possible for the script writer to update the script so that it uses
cURL instead of fopen?
