[Bug]: Dashboard chart widget not displaying data #992

Closed Kobytoo closed 1 year ago

Kobytoo commented 2 years ago

What happened?

Log in to admin->dashboard and select Add Widget. Select Charts widget. Grid width 12 (other widths do the same) Ensure you have selected a valid location from the selector (top right of page) Ensure you have some data, such as order, reservations, customers or reviews. A combination is best. Make certain the date on the top right of the chart widget is valid for your data. Result is that all lines are flat. No data is represented in this widget.

N.B. If you already have a chart widget you will need to remove it beofre adding a new one, because a second chart widget doesn't allow you to choose the date range.

What did you expect to happen?

The widget should display the values for the data you are viewing (I.E. Orders, customer, reservations, reviews) for the location selected and the date range selected. It does not.

Version

3.5.x

What browser are you seeing the problem on?

Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge

Relevant log output

No log output that I can see but I'm only looking in the admin logs section.

Are there any errors in your browser developer console?

Are there any errors in your browser developer console?

Yes, although not what I would expect. This makes Dev tools unusable.

DevTools failed to load source map: Could not parse content for /admin/_assets/selectonic.min.map: Unexpected token / in JSON at position 0

My copy appears to be here /app/main/widgets/mediamanager/assets/vendor/selectonic/selectonic.min.map

Any update on the issue, I am having exact same issue regarding no data in the dashboard reports chart widget though plenty of orders, reservations etc has been done.

I abandoned this software because I wasn’t able to get the support I needed, under the circumstance of having a client wanting solutions. I do really love it and plan to come back though.

I logged the chart thing as a bug. I’m very surprised to know it’s not fixed as it’s really immediate and noticeable.

I might give the software another go this week.
