When I put my macbook air to sleep, then close the lid my macbook "wakes up" from sleep mode #51

Hi,

I have a MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2012) model (current as of September 2012)
and I'm running Nosleep 1.3.1 on OSX 10.8.1.

My issue is that when nosleep is active (blue in the menu bar) and I put my
macbook air to sleep and close the lip, the computer wakes from sleep and
starts running again.

When I disable nosleep (grey in the menu bar) and I put the computer to sleep
and close the lid, the computer stays asleep and doesn't wake up. I assume that
this is how the computer should operate.

This is a brilliant application but this defect makes the operation rather
annoying. Can you please fix?

Many thanks,

John

Hello John,

Could you attach a dmesg output here. It could help to understand the wake
reason.
This evening I'll try to reproduce this.

Just wondering if there's any update on this issue?

Thanks.

FYI, the temporary fix to this issue is to disable 'nosleep' from the menu bar
so it turns grey (not blue) then you can put the computer to sleep. While
annoying, it's the only way to stop my macbook from 'waking up' when closing
the lid while nosleep is active.
