Overview

A key part of what we need to do is is distill what ALEC is and what power they hold. The explanation should be accessible from a language perspective, include an overview of the prison industrial system, and provide resources to read more.

Going to start a document with an overview about ALEC which we can begin contributing to - I will post the link here once I have something written out

I have written some introductory paragraphs to get us started and left some notes (some of which have been already used in the text and others which haven't).
