little late but did you try putting sudo before any of that???? you have to use
root=sudo

Yes, i did sudo python install.py -i
anyway, i got another problem. I installed ubuntu on the machine, and installed
subterfuge again there and it installed correctly. After the installation, i
exit the terminal and open it again and typed subterfuge but it says there is
no subterfuge command. I already used sudo subterfuge but no luck. Whats wrong
again?

I have tried subterfuge before about a year ago and it worked. But this time, nothing.
