Rule set does not work on latest update 2023.1218.1 #427

Tau does not work on the latest update, all other custom rulesets do not work either so I assume it's due to some "major" change. I've attached my runtime.log in case it's needed

huh. i just played with that version. Worked fine.

Can you try downloading the latest release? It seems like you have a very old version of Tau, and possibly other rulesets.

yeah I'll try and download the latest though I'm pretty sure I downloaded the latest before

I get the same error with the newest version 2023.1008.0

It works on my end. Are you sure you are putting the rulesets in the correct folder, you may be putting them in a folder that isn't in use by lazer anymore (perhaps due to changing the osu folder in-game)

You can double check the folder by pressing the "Open osu folder" button in the lazer settings

this is the path to my rulesets folder "C:\Users\andre\AppData\Roaming\osu\rulesets" And yes I clicked the open Osu! folder I also deleted my previous tau.dll booted the game without that specific ruleset, closed it and then put the new dll inside

Ok I kinda fixed it. Tau works if it's the only custom ruleset inside the rulesets folder

Yeah, your bosu is from last year, must've been that. Or add back your rulesets one at the time to find the offending ruleset.

The issue is actually osu.Game.Rulesets.Karaoke.dll as soon as I have this inside the folder none of the custom rulesets work
