Inputs? #426

I set this up and it’s working well but I can’t seem to enable my input to show Apple TV on HDMI. I currently have Art Mode set as an input and that works as expected, but how in the world do I create an input to switch to HDMI 1 and title it Apple TV? I’m new to this, so just learning using the visual method in HOOBS.

Hi.

You could search for hdmi in closed issues. https://github.com/tavicu/homebridge-samsung-tizen/issues?q=is%3Aissue+hdmi This has been discussed a lot in the past.

For short. The samsung api don't allow us to do this, only to send key commands that you find on a remote (an there is no hdmi1 or hdmi2 on remotes).

We are working on implementing a new api which will allow us to select a specific source. (https://github.com/tavicu/homebridge-samsung-tizen/issues/321) Right now it's in beta and will probably be released at the end of November. It's a busy period on my work with black friday and i don't have time for anything else.

So please, next time when you open an issue on any plugin try to read the documentation or search for closed issues (as i try to write it on every page). Actions like yours make us decide to stop development or just close the issues cause you show us (the developers) you don't appreciate and value our time. Screenshot 2021-10-22 at 18 58 22

Thank you and have an awesome weekend!

This is so blown out of proportion. How does this show I don’t appreciate and value your time? This is one of my first comments ever on here and just trying out the platform. It’s developers like you that close off an entry into an ecosystem from potential customers for being so rude and “un-appreciative” of potential customer’s interest in this. Get lost man!

Yup, i'm an ignorant bastard that spent hundred of hours developing something for free for the community and asked you only to spend a few minutes searching for your answer, maybe someone had the same problem as you ...

But i get it! My bad for asking you to sacrifice a few minutes and then how rude of me for trying just to "educate" you since you already know everything!
