Remote app volume doesnt work #666

Hello,

First of all ty for your amazing plugin.

I installed it a few days ago and everything was okay. But now after 3 days my remote app will not change the volume on the TV but on my phone if i press the buttons on my iphone.

Same issue with my Frame. Still works with another Samsung

Same issue with my TV as well. Worked before, now it just doesn't.

Homebridge is just a wrapper that tricks Apple HomeKit to think it's a real HomeKit device. And they not always work 100% perfect.

This plugins only get an event when a button is pressed and it sends a command. Nothing more. And sometimes the plugin doesn't receive this event. So unfortunately there is nothing more I could do from the plugin.

Sometimes it fixes itself after a reboot of the phone.

But again, HomeKit is very buggy if you ask me. It's not 100% reliable so don't expect it to work every time, especially that we trick Apple to think Homebridge it's a HomeKit compatible hub/device.

Turned out, it was a missing authorization on the Samsung. Works fine again. Thanks

Hi can u please help with that issue? All my tvs stopped responding to volume control

Í just used another Remote Control App like MyTifi which triggered the Samsung to ask for confirmation which I did with OK on the original Samsung remote control. After that volume keys worked again with homebridge.

I have the same problem, but I can't find a way to fix it. Only the volume control is affected. I believe the issue has been occurring since the last Firmware update on my Samsung QN85B (Firmware version 1622). Before that, the volume control worked without any problems.

Is anyone experiencing the same?
