please? I don't think I have understood what kind of problem you are trying to solve.

The ability to remove them could be useful too, say you had genus and species and wanted to remove the species label....
could that be solved by the --summarise-at option?

Currently taxpasta can add taxonomic names when standardizing profiler output. Sometimes a table may of been standardized without the taxonomic labelling and a label might need to be changed or supplied later.
Solution
Can supply taxprofiler with a previously standardized table and add the taxonomic labels.
