Suggestion from John - This will be good data to have while operating the system. With a battery monitoring circuit, we are "halfway there" to a battery recharging circuit.

Rewrote this to only say battery monitoring. Recharging is a separate task, and we will probably use a commercial battery charger for safety reasons (unquenchable tesla-esque fires).
