As you're aware, I'm an ankify_roam poweruser. I use it every day, and almost all my anki cards are imported from roam. But there are three categories of card that I still make manually, via anki directly. Two of these don't even make sense to do from roam*, but one of them might.
That is the cards for learning hot keys and programming syntax. I use a custom note-type for these: They have some text on the front, and then a prompt to type the answer ( {[type:Text}} in Anki).
It would be great if anki_roam supported an additional note type, that allowed for text-input questions. Maybe they would be like regular questions, but with an additional tag, in roam that created them with a different note type?
I would use this, at least.
Thanks for building this app!
Note: In case you're interested the other two kinds of cards that build directly in Anki are:
Image occlusion cards, where I input and image and designate some parts to cover up in the question, to be revealed in the answer. This is a pretty specific thing, and it doesn't make sense to do in Roam.
Spelling cards. When I want to learn how to spell a word, I'll make card using a custom note type, with an audio recording of my speaking the word on the front, and a typed-input field for the answer. Again this is a pretty specific use case, and because it involves making an audio recording, doing it through roam would be slower than doing it through anki.
