I downloaded the german and english dictionary. Under 'input languages' I see
both languages checked and marked with "dictionary available". I can change
them correctly by swiping space bar. Even suggestions work fine in both
languages, giving me suggestions in the currently selected input language.
Spell checking, however, seems to depend only on the chosen global GUI
language. If I set Android to English globally I get english spell checking
even if I set German as the current input language and the other way around.
Obviously changing global language every time I change language in an e-mail or
elsewhere is not practical.
I use a Fairphone FP1 running Android 4.2.2.
Hacker's Keyboard reports version 1.37.1419 e42df5f23af2 2013-12-24.
Affects all layouts and orientations.
