You can choose what filter and report vit starts with, by including the options;
vit filter-a filter-b report
and if you don't supply a report, vit will use the default report from .taskrc
This feature request is to add an option to how vit starts up, when no filter or report is supplied.
With a related configuration entry in .vitrc, something like a pre-default-report routine can be easily set up.
something like this;
splash=task logo ; fortune ; figlet Taskwarrior ; echo ' Taskwarrior is a command-line todo list manager' ; date
could (did) produce something like this;
and the great thing is that is can be totally user-configurable, put what you like/ need in there!
Hitting < enter > would then go to your default report.
