I'm going to assume 'D' when a task is selected is best unless someone comes up with another idea. After all, it will bring up a "Delete task NN?" prompt and require confirmation.

is that not presently bound to Denotate?

yes, only when the selection bar is selecting a annotation

Any further thoughts on this? The disadvantage of "D" being delete when not over an annotation is that you can't delete a task when you're over an annotation.

The ability to delete the task, or just a single annotation (depending on cursor position) is a good and flexible thing, and shouldn't be a problem once users understand how it works. I would leave it that way. $0.02 CDN.

It would be nice to add support for deleting a task. 'D' currently deletes an annotation. I'm not sure if it would be better to have 'D' delete the task if over the description or have a global delete task key (such that if an annotation is selected it still deletes the whole task).
Any thoughts?
