Connection problem with latest transmission version #302

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago

I've updated transmission daemon on my ubuntu server to version 2.00
(from repository http://ppa.launchpad.net/transmissionbt/nightly/ubuntu).

After this update latest (3.23 build 0) transmission remote can't connect to
the daemon with error:
"Failed request #1: Input string was not in a correct format"

OS: Windows 7 x64
Transmission: 2.00
Remote: 3.23 (build 0)

BTW, thanks for amaizing application

I also got this problem today just after I upgraded from Transmission 1.93 to
Transmission 2.01+ (11001).

I tried with the latest stable and the latest beta of
transmission-remote-dotnet (but not the latest nightly build).

The transmission-daemon's config file is exactly the same as it was before the
upgrade.

I attached a picture how the problem looks like, and what's in the error log
(not much).

OS: Windows 7 x64
Remote version: 3.22.1 and 3.23beta1

I have exactly the same issue after upgraded to Transmission 2.01.

It seems that something changed in transmission's RSS part, because the issue
is related to the Transmission upgrade: after that I cannot access the server
with any version of Transmission-Remote-Dotnet from neighter Windows Xp, Vista
or 7 no matter that it is 64bit or 32.

And I have exactly the same issue after upgraded to Transmission 2.03 (11033).
But on Transmission 2.01 everything worked perfectly

By the way Transmission Remote GUI (last update May 7) works fine. But I
strongly do not like it ;)

charles changed some variable type to real
[https://trac.transmissionbt.com/changeset/10937], and the decimal divider is
changed too. But there are still some bugs in that code.

I've got lastest sources from svn and rebuilt project. It works! Hurray, I was
totaly annoyed this week using another remote client.

PS new UI looks amazing.

r654 is confirmed to work with Transmission 2.xx, also works nice on Win7 x64.

Thank you!
