The original reason I didn't include Windows in that list was that I was not yet very confident that the pip installation works well on Windows. Do you have enough experience with that to feel that it works?

@tbenthompson it's very likely that the drive-by PR was just spam from Digital Ocean's "Hacktoberfest."

They launched a well-intended drive to give T-shirts to people who open Pull Requests in an effort to get people to contribute to open source projects. But the result has been thousands of low-effort one-line changes from people just trying to do the minimum to qualify for the free T shirt. (The use had zero other GH activity in the weeks leading up to the start of the event on Oct 1.)
