HeeksCAD Shutdown

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Terminal
2.open heeksCAD
3.double clicking on icons

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
selection of tool, 
Looking for default data in '/home/stephen'
Looking for default data in '/usr/lib'
Looking for default data in '/usr/lib/heekscnc'
Importing data from /usr/lib/heekscnc/default.speed
Importing data from /usr/lib/heekscnc/default.tooltable
Within Directory /usr/share/qcad/fonts
read 0 vector font files
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
 not sure of the version Ubuntu 12.04

Please provide any additional information below.
new install of unbuntu 12.04
new install HeeksCad & Heekscnc
