A decisive difference between autonomous robots as considered in this work and typical stationary industrial robots is that autonomous robots operate in environments that are structurally or in detail a priori unknown or imprecisely known, so-called automation-averse environments, whereas industrial robots are designed by their sensing and control software to function in controlled, known environments. According to this, autonomous robots fundamentally expand the range of applications in the direction of dynamic, partially unknown, and partially unobservable environments.\newline
